The Islamabad Fashion Week (IFW) 2012, surprised the audience with a dramatic collection of haute couture produced by enterprising students and emerging designers — all geared up to make a mark on Pakistan’s booming fashion industry.
Organised by Triple E Events, the three-day fashion fair communicated a strong message: harnessed in the right direction, there is no end to the verve and creativity of Pakistani youth — be they designers, models, choreographers, or backstage coordinators whose contributions often remain unpublicised.
With an emphasis on trade, the fashion extravaganza through fashion runway shows and multimedia presentations showcased leading international and regional fashion designers, brands and institutions including Element Jeans; Arslan and Yahseer; Shaiyanne Malik; Umar Sayeed; Fahad Hussain; Munib Nawaz; Fashion Era; Iqra University and many other emerging names.
The labors of people striving to re-establish the soft image of Pakistan, in the bleak and dismal existing scenario of the country, are applaud-able and deserve recognition for the effort that went into holding the IFW 2012. The News
