July 19: Sectarian clash claims the life of one and injures three

Religious violence erupted in Karachi during the funeral prayers of two activists of the defunct Sipah-e-Sahaba group. Cross fire was stoked between rival parties after the news of the killing spread across the city. SHO Rizvia Masroor Ejaz said clashes started between the groups when the bodies were being moved to Khajji Ground for final rites. Unidentified armed men reportedly opened fire on the funeral procession as it was crossing the Kazmia Imambargah. (Daily Times)
