April 27Girls' Primary school bombed in Landikotal

Unidentified militants bombed a makeshift girls’ school at Sheikhmal Khel Tehsil, sources informed. The building’s owner said female students had been shifted to the place after the destruction of the local government school. No casualties were reported. Security forces cordoned off the area and collected evidence from the site. Daily Times

April 27: Girls' school destroyed in Charsadda

Militants planted explosives near the main gate of a government girls’ primary school in the Minavara Matta Damaan area of Shabqadar, damaging the main gate and two classrooms of the school. An official from the education department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) said that the number of destroyed schools in Shabqadar has reached 94 with this blast. Express tribune

 

 April 27: Many injured in sectarian clash in Khairpur

Over 10 people were injured and six shops set on fire during violence between two religious sects. Clashes emerged from three days of tension between two religious sects over the use of a loudspeaker from the Umer Farooq Mosque in the Chandio Morr locality. After there was a verbal altercation over loudspeaker use, armed men from one sect attacked the mosque and opened fire, injuring three people. Members of the other sect reportedly retaliated and injured another two people. The police fired teargas shells to disperse the mob but the clashes continued. Armed men from both sects exchanged fire which led to over 10 people being injured. Express Tribune
