June 5: 22nd school destroyed in Nowshera

The number of schools destroyed in the district reached 22 after the militants bombed the government-run school for boys in Mera Kheshgi. The militants had planted explosives in a water cooler and placed it inside the Government Middle School Sher Afzal Korona in Mera Kheshgi that went off and destroyed two rooms. The News

June 7: 16 killed in bomb attack on Quetta madrassa

At least 16 people, including five children, were killed and more than 48 injured in a remote-controlled bomb blast outside a madrassa near Bank Chowk on Sariab Link Road. Majority of the victims were students of the madraasa. Five to six kilogrammes of  explosive material was fixed to a bicycle parked outside Jamia Islamia Miftahul Uloom, a religious seminary. Terrorists detonated the explosive using a remote control.  A certificate-awarding ceremony was taking place when the bombing occurred, the DIG said. Three cars and a shop were also damaged. Daily Times

June 10: Boys school blown up in Mardan

Unidentified militants blew up a government primary school for boys in Khat Kallay near Sheik Maltoon Town in broad daylight. Two classrooms of the school were destroyed completely in the explosion. 10 to 15 kilograms of explosives were used in the blast. Owing to summer vacations, the school was empty so no one was killed or hurt in the explosion. Dawn
