July 9: Boy’s school blown up in Mohmand

On Monday night unknown militants blew up a government-run boys’ middle school in the Safi area of Mohmand Agency. The number of destroyed schools has crossed the figure of 50 in Safi and 98 in Mohmand Agency as a whole. Express Tribune

July 10: Government school blown up in Badhaber, Peshawar

Early morning on Tuesday, militants blew up another primary school located on the outskirts of the district Badhaber. No casualties occured in the incident. Police reported that miscreants had planted explosives in Mashu Gagar Primary School that exploded, badly damaging the school building. Daily Times

July 10: Police demolish Ahmadi worship place minarets in Kharian

Kharian city police demolished six minarets of an Ahmadi building for worship, Baitul Hamd, on Tuesday night. Saqib Shakeel Ghazi, Syed Iftikhar Kazmi and others from the Barelvi religious organisation called Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz-e-Islam had appealed for the demolition to the Kharian police. Express Tribune

July 11: Bodies of two kidnapped Shias found in Quetta

Two bodies were found in Mian Gundi area, which lies on the outskirt of Quetta. The deceased included an imambargah leader. An autopsy performed at the Bolan Medical Teaching Hospital revealed that the victims were ‘slaughtered and beheaded in a brutal manner’, placing their ages around 28 to 30 years old. Lashker-e-Jhangvi claimed responsibility for the killings. The relatives of the second victim told media that he had been kidnapped for ransom from the Sattelite Town area about 19 days earlier.

July 11: Religious views of family prevent Polio vaccination in Quetta

A case of polio has been reported from the Sabzal Road area of Muslimabad in Quetta, raising the number of affected children to three this year.The UNICEF media officer Masoma Qurban confirmed that the 23 month old girl had never been vaccinated because of the religious beliefs held by her family. She also confirmed that the grandfather and uncle of the child were local religious figures.

July 12: Hindu trader, a man from Hazara community killed in Quetta and Sibi

Two persons, including a Hindu trader, were gunned down in Quetta and Sibi districts on Thursday. Unidentified armed men riding a motorcycle opened fire on a Hindu trader, Ruash Kumar, in the Qumbrani Road area of Quetta, who died instantly. In another incident in the Sibi district, unidentified armed men gunned down Rehmat Ali, a member of the Hazara community. The incident took place the in Killi Geo area of Kirani Road on Thursday. Daily Times

July 12: Blast outside Peshawar cinema injures eight people

On Thursday night, a low intensity blast outside a cinema in Peshawar injured eight people. According to the police the explosion was a result of a cracker blast outside the cinema, and that only two people had been injured. However, a hospital spokesperson confirmed that eight people were injured in the incident and had been brought to the hospital. Express Tribune

July 12: Blast outside a high school in Badhaber, Peshawar

Explosives planted outside the boundary wall of Nashukhel High school by miscreants detonated, damaging the school wall and one room. No casualties have been reported. The News
