July 30: Eight Christian nurses' poisoned in Karachi

Eight Christian trainee nurses at the Civil Hospital were admitted to the hospital in a serious condition after they allegedly drank poisoned tea prepared at their hostel. Local Christians claim that the nurses have been deliberately poisoned because of their faith and called for an inquiry into the incident. Hostel Superintendent said that the girls had prepared the tea themselves. But Civil Hospital Medical Superintendent ruled out the involvement of anyone from the hostel. Pakistan Today
August 1: Government school bombed in Peshawar
Militants planted explosives on the boundary wall of a government boys primary school located in Badhber area of Peshawar, which exploded. The school building was destroyed due to the blast but no causality or injury was reported as the building was vacant at the time of blast and also situated away from residential area. Daily Times
August 1: Two more schools destroyed in Mohmand

Militants blew up two more state-run schools in Safi tehsil of Mohmand Agency. The militants planted explosives at the wall of the Government Haji Abdur Rahim Primary School and Fida Muhammad Primary School in Chinari area. The blasts were remote-controlled and caused extensive damage. Nobody claimed responsibility for the blasts. The News
