September 10: 14 year old Abbotabad girl authors book

saria benazirBy authoring a book titled “Insignia of Democracy” at the age of 14, Saria Benazir has become one of the youngest writers of the world on a complex topic of politics. The book comprising of 600 pages speaks of her commitment to a democratic Pakistan. She is the first and only child from a remote area like Abbotabad to have done her A Levels.

August 31: IT Board launches country's first technology incubator

technology incubatorPakistan’s first enterprise incubator, called Plan9 Tech Incubator, was launched by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) in collaboration with the Pakistan Software Houses Association for IT and ITES (P@SHA). The ceremony was held at Arfa Karim Software Technology Park.
