An exhibition titled ‘Women Art and Craft’, organized by the joint collaboration of The Rawalpindi Arts Council and SPO (Strengthening Participatory Organisation), put on display handicrafts made by women prisoners.
The exhibition comprised of hand-made jewellery, pottery decorations, dresses, and glasswork. It attempted to present to the public the handicrafts made by female inmates from different jails and in the process allowed them to earn their livelihoods respectfully, instead of becoming a burden on others.
