Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said all the state institutions including judiciary, parliament and executive are working under the ambit of Constitution and we have a vibrant civil society and media. “The government is working for the strengthening of democracy in the country,” he said while replying to questions by the participants of a conference on ‘Pakistan at Risk: Stabilization Challenges after the Flood’ organised by the Jinnah Institute, here on Thursday.
Former Information Minister Sherry Rehman, who is the President of Jinnah Institute, organised the conference. The prime minister said the government will reprioritise the budget and will generate additional resources for the flood-affected people. He said the provincial government has also been directed to take the same line in this regard.
